Cleveland State University seeks enthusiastic, creative, team-oriented applicants for the full-time position of Coordinator, Athletics Marketing and Promotions. Develops and executes marketing plans that support assigned varsity sports at CSU with goals of generating revenue, increasing attendance, retaining season ticket base and building new ticket sales. Facilitates execution of corporate partnerships, fulfillment of sponsorship contracts and maintenance of excellent client relations. Performs game management duties related to marketing and promotions. Supervises assigned personnel. Works a flexible schedule. Interacts professionally with all internal and external customers using strong interpersonal skills.
Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree and one year marketing, advertising or sales experience required. Experience developing and implementing innovative marketing and promotions strategies and tactics that increase revenue. Must possess excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills. PC proficiency in internet research, word processing, database and spreadsheet applications. Familiarity with desktop publishing software. Ability to work a flexible schedule.
Preferred qualifications: Experience in athletic marketing at the college or university level. Familiarity with and knowledge of the Cleveland business community.

Cleveland State University's Department of Intercollegiate Athletics is seeking hard working, dependable, ambitious candidates interested in college athletics careers for 2008-2009 internships supporting Viking Athletics. Undergraduate degree and experience in an athletics department preferred. Outstanding undergraduate students seeking internship course credit may also be considered. Applicants must be team players with strong organizational, verbal, written and computer skills. Positions may offer NCAA Division I experience in academic counseling, alumni affairs, athletic training, compliance, fundraising, marketing, operations, sales, sports information, tickets and web-based communications.
