Senior right-hander Eric Zizelman proved last year that he is an asset both coming out of the bullpen and as a starter.

2001 — Junior Season
After starting 10 games the first half of the year, moved into the bullpen and collected five saves...finished with a 5.03 ERA in 23 appearances...posted 4-7 record with three complete games and 44 strikeouts...earned a pair of saves in the MCC Tournament...recorded complete game victory at Wright State (5/13)...gave up just one earned run while striking out six in complete game effort at Akron (3/28)...named MCC Player of the Week on Feb. 26 after five-hit complete game effort with no earned runs at N.C. A & T (2/24).

2000 — Sophomore Season
Appeared 19 times as one of CSU’s top options out of the bullpen...posted a 2-1 record and 5.28 ERA in 29.0 innings of work...also notched 29 strikeouts while walking just 14...whiffed four on three different occasions...earned first career save with 2.1 hitless innings at Butler (4/28).

1999 — Freshman Season
Pitched 29.2 innings in 13 games…got the starting nod twice…finished with a 3-2 record…posted 26 strikeouts.

High School
Four-year letterwinner in baseball for the Rebels…played shortstop, third base and pitcher…as a senior, recorded a 2.10 ERA with 65 strikeouts in 64 innings pitched…also hit .330 in his final prep campaign…named first team All-Greater Cleveland Conference and to the Plain Dealer first team…also earned second team honors from News Herald…tabbed a Tri-County All-Star and a Greater Cleveland All-Star…team captain and MVP in both his junior and senior years…also played one year of basketball.
