Though small in stature, Joe Davis comes up big on the court. One of the most exciting offensive performers on the team, his long-range shooting skills and explosiveness off the dribble have made him a favorite of Viking fans. With a year of collegiate basketball experience, look for him to take on a bigger role on the floor this year.

2006-07 SEASON:
• Moved into the starting lineup at off-guard early in the season, starting 19 of the final 20 games.
• Came off the bench in the regular seson finale vs. Youngstown State (2/24/07), snapping a streak of 18 straight starts.
• Was third on the team in scoring (9.2), ranking second on the team in free throw percentage (51-66, .773).
• Led the Vikings with 17 points at Cal State Northridge (2/17/07).
• Scored 12 points in 12 minutes at Youngstown State (1/20/07).
• Tallied 17 points, including 15 in the second half, vs. Wright State (1/18/07), going 7-for-13 from the field.
• Led CSU with 18 points at Loyola (1/4/07).
• Scored 12 points, going 5-for-10 from the field, vs. West Virginia Tech (12/30/06).
• Totaled 12 points with three rebounds vs. Chicago State (12/19/06).
• Broke a stretch of four straight games scoring in single figures by tallying 12 points at Ohio State (12/9/06), going 5-for-9 from the field.
• Paced CSU with 17 points vs. John Carroll (11/22/06), going 6-for-9 from the field and 4-for-4 from the line with a career-high 6 rebounds.
• Came off the bench to score 11 points in win over Miami (Fla.) (11/19/06).
• Scored nine points in 19 minutes vs. Notre Dame College (11/13/06).
• Made his Viking debut a memorable one, scoring 19 points vs. George Mason (11/11/06), the third-highest scoring total by a CSU freshman in his first game. Also tied a school freshman record with five three-point field goals.

HIGH SCHOOL:
• Earned first team all-state honors from the Associated Press as a senior at Warrensville Heights High, playing for coach Vince Johnson.
• Averaged 28.1 points, 6.7 rebounds and 4.2 assists as a senior, shooting .560 from the field, .828 from the line (140-169) and .495 from three-point (50-101).
• Was named both the league and district MVP as a senior.
• Earned special mention all-state honors after averaging 26.0 points a game as a junior.
• Played his first two seasons at Glenville High School, lettering twice in both football and basketball.
• Played AAU basketball for the Shooting Stars, a Cleveland-based team.
• Named Best Playmaker at the Five-Star Camp held at Robert Morris University in 2005.
• Voted the tourney standout at the Kingwood Classic in Houston during the summer of 2005.
