As the old joke goes, Nick Weaver is a union shooter. . . he won't cross the line. Brought in from an Arizona junior college primarily to bolster CSU's three-point shooting, the junior is capable of using his long-range shooting ability to extend opponent defenses and in the process, creating opportunities for the Viking post-players. Count on him being a key contributer on the wing this season.

JUNIOR COLLEGE:
• Named the league offensive player of the year as a sophomore at Glendale Community College, playing for coach Dave Hodges.
• Ranked sixth nationally and first in the league in scoring (23.1 ppg), adding 6.5 rebounds a game.
• Shot 47-percent from three-point and 84-percent from the foul line, setting school records for three-point field goals made and triple-doubles (3) in a season.
• Set a school record with 45 points in one game and owned a personal rebounding best of 16.

HIGH SCHOOL:
• Three-year starter at Ironwood High, helping team to a 55-43 record during his career.
• Set a school record with eight triple-doubles as a senior.
