CLEVELAND - Junior guard Theo Dixon (Cleveland Heights, Ohio/Cleveland Heights) has been named the Midwestern Collegiate Conference Player of the Week. He led the Vikings (9-6, 2-0 MCC) to a pair of wins last week to open MCC play.

Dixon fired in the game-winning shot against Loyola on Thursday (Jan. 4), letting a three-pointer fly from the right corner with six-tenths of a second left to lift the Vikings to a 73-70 victory over the Ramblers in CSU's MCC opener. Dixon finished the game with a team-high 21 points, and also dished out three assists without committing a turnover. On Saturday (Jan. 6), Dixon recorded a game-high 23 points against UIC, as the Vikes moved to 2-0 in MCC play with a 71-62 win over the Flames.

This marks the third time Dixon has been named MCC Player of the Week this season (Dec. 11 & Nov. 20).
