Cleveland State 107, BC Arlesheim 55
Aug. 15, 2001 The Cleveland State Vikings began their summer exhibition tour with a 107-55 win over BC Arlesheim in Arlesheim, Switzerland. Percell Coles (Fr., Philadelphia/Simon Gratz) led the Vikings with 21 points, including 5 for 7 on three-point goals. Jamaal Harris (Sr., Cleveland Heights /Cleveland Heights) added 20 points and Theo Dixon (Sr., Cleveland Heights /Cleveland Heights) chipped in 17. Sophomore Jermaine Robinson (Philadelphia/Simon Gratz) dished out 10 assists. Dixon and Pape Badiane (So., les Ulis, France/Faith Christian Academy) led the Vikings with 7 rebounds each, while Andre Williams (Jr., Clayton, N.J./Bishop Eustace) and Tahric Gosley (Jr., Philadelphia/Simon Gratz) added 6 each. The Vikings jumped out to a 10-0 lead and never looked back, leading 22-14 at the end of the first period and 50-26 at the half. The green-and-white stretched their lead to 74-40 at the end of three quarters and coasted home for the win. For the game, CSU was 42 of 80 (52%) from the field and 10 of 18 from the line (55%). The Vikes owned the glass with 49 total rebounds, including 22 on the offensive end. CSU travels to Florence, Italy tomorrow (Aug. 16) for games this weekend. |
