Doc Taylor, Theo Dixon Key Viking Win In Exhibition

CLEVELAND, Ohio - Sophomore point guard Jermaine Robinson (Philadelphia, PA/Simon Gratz) led the Vikings with 20 points. Marathon's Jerry Carstensen led all scorers with 36 points

Although Taylor was the only Viking to reach double digits in rebounding, CSU held a 43-31 edge on the boards. In addition, the Vikes recorded nine blocked shots, led by senior Anthony Jackson's (Akron, OH/East) three.

For the game, CSU shot 46 percent (29 of 63) from the field and 73.3 percent (22 of 30) from the line. In comparison, Marathon shot 43 percent (25 of 58) from the field and 77.8 percent (14 of 18) from the line.

The Vikings play host to Reality Basketball on Saturday, November 11 at 7 p.m. in their final exhibition tuneup before opening with the University of Vermont, the alma mater of Head Coach Rollie Massimino, on Nov. 17.
