Vikings Edge Reality Basketball, 95-92
Nov. 11, 2000 CLEVELAND, Ohio - The Cleveland State men's basketball team defeated Reality Basketball, 95-92, in exhibition action this evening in Goodman Arena. The Vikings held on to the lead during a foul-plagued two and a half hour game.
Sophomore guard Jermaine Robinson (Philadelphia, Pa./Simon Gratz) paced CSU with 17 points and two assists. Sophomore forward Tahric Gosley (Philadelphia, Pa./Simon Gratz) added 16 points, while Doc Taylor (Bedford Heights, Ohio/Bedford) finished with 13 points and 12 rebounds. Senior guard Jamaal Harris (Cleveland Heights, Ohio/Cleveland Heights) put up 14 points to help the Vikings win their second exhibition game of the season.
Reality Basketball guard Paul Webster led all players with 26 points, while guard Charles Bigsby added 18 points and 6 rebounds.
The teams combined for 72 personal fouls, including 3 Reality technical fouls.
Cleveland State kicks off the regular season Friday, Nov. 17 when the Vikings welcome Vermont to Goodman Arena for a 7:05 p.m. contest.
