Angel Roque is perhaps the purest point guard on the Viking roster as she has the ability to control the tempo of the game and find teammates for open looks at the basket. She is a system player who knows exactly where to be on the court and can also direct traffic from the point guard position. Roque, who will serve as a captain this season, can shoot the three-pointer and is a strong catch-and-shoot player from mid-range.

2006-07-- Freshman Season
• Was one of six Vikings to appear in all 30 games and played double digit minutes 26 times
• Came off the bench for the first 19 contests before starting the final 11 games at point guard
• Ranked ninth in the league in assist-to-turnover ratio (1.10) and tied for 11th in assists per game (2.5)
• Averaged 3.1 points and 2.5 assists per game
• Posted 3.2 assists per night in her 11 starts, including five in a league quarterfinal loss at UIC (3/7/07)
• Scored 10 points and dished out five assists against Miami (OH) in first collegiate game (11/17/06)
• Equaled her career-high of 10 points versus Milwaukee (2/15/07)
• Dished out a career-best seven assists and scored six points in a win over Colgate (11/21/06)
• Finished with six points, six assists and career-high tying four rebounds at Youngstown State (1/27/07)

• Named a 2005 Top Five All-Star by the Toronto Sun
• Averaged 15.0 points, 10.0 assists and 7.0 steals to lead school to a 30-2 record as a senior
• Helped squad to 2005 regional title and a third-place finish in the province
• Member of the Ontario provincial team that claimed the gold medal at the national tournament in 2003 & `04
• Was the school's female athlete of the year as a junior, participating in the Nike Camp All-Star Game
• Also played volleyball and ran track, leading the latter squad to regional, sectional and provincial titles
