Shannon Sword showed down the stretch last season that she is capable of carrying a team offensively. Cleveland State's all-time leader in three-point field goal percentage, she is an excellent finisher around the basket, but can also step out to the three-point line. The Vikings will also count on her defensive presence in the post.

2002-03 -- Junior Season
• Stood 14th in the league in scoring (11.7 points per game) and 12th in rebounding (5.5 rpg)
• Also ranked among the conference leaders in field goal pct. (11th - .466) and defensive rebounds (9th - 4.00)
• Was nearly unstoppable in the Horizon League Championship, averaging 19.5 points per game and 8.5 rpg in CSU's two games
• Set career-highs with 21 points and 12 rebounds in semifinal game against Detroit on March 7
• Tallied 16 points in career-high 38 minutes at Detroit on March 1
• Scored 20 points against UW-Milwaukee on Feb. 8

• Shot team-best .885 from the free throw line, but fell two makes shy of qualifying for the league leaders

• Pulled down career-best 11 rebounds to go along with 10 points versus Detroit on Feb. 9
• Scored career-high 17 points and grabbed 10 boards in win over IPFW on Feb. 4 for first career double-double

• Finished as the all-time leading scorer at Miamisburg with 1,151 points
• Earned special mention all-state, as well as first team all-league, all-area and all-region honors in 1999-00
• Team MVP while averaging 22.2 points and 6.0 rebounds per game her senior season
