First team All-Horizon League selection, Amanda Houchin emerged as a run-producer for the Vikings last season. After a solid season at second base, the Vikings will count on Houchin to put up big numbers at second base again this season.

2007 - Sophomore Season
Earned first team All-Horizon League honors...started 33 games at second base, 13 at third base...hit .383 with 57 hits, including 17 for extra bases...second on team with homeruns (5) and RBI (29)...put together 16 multi-hit games...collected seven multi-RBI games...went 3-for-4 with a double and four RBI against Lafayette (3/13)...went 6-for-8 with three doubles and two RBI in twin bill at Oakland (5/2).

2006 Freshman Season
Started 52 games at third base, setting a school record with 130 assists...had just 30 at-bats, collecting three hits and three RBI.

High School
Two-time All-Ohio honoree at shortstop...twice named league player of the year...led squad to berth in state semifinals in 2003 and '04...three-time first team all-league and all-district selection...three-year starter in basketball.
