CLEVELAND, Ohio - Cleveland State's home softball doubleheader against Valparaiso, which was scheduled to begin at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday (May 3) has been postponed because of wet playing conditions. Sunday's series finale, original scheduled to begin at 12:00 noon, will be expanded to a doubleheader starting at 11:00 a.m. "This is an important series for both teams." CSU head coach Angie Nicholson said. "We're going to do everything in our power to get as many games played as we can." Sunday's games will serve as Senior Day with Viking senior Whitney Willard being honored in a ceremony between games. CSU (28-15, 13-3) needs to win just one of the two games in order to clinch the regular season league title and claim the top seed in next week's Horizon League Championship, which will be played at Loyola in Chicago. |
